September 10, 2020: Pipeline Replacement and Nitrogen Purging Project for 8 Defective Welds on the China-Myanmar Natural Gas Pipeline (Guizhou Section)
On September 10, 2020, our company was assigned the critical task of providing nitrogen safety support for an emergency pipeline replacement and connection project targeting eight defective welds along the Guizhou section of the China-Myanmar natural gas pipeline. Upon receiving the assignment, we swiftly mobilized resources: by 5:00 PM on September 12, we had assembled the engineering command vehicle, liquid nitrogen equipment, and a construction team of 14 personnel, arriving promptly at the site of Valve Station No. 50.
Facing the challenging weather conditions of continuous rain in Guizhou, our company implemented a well-planned and meticulously organized approach. We established a 24-hour weather monitoring system to track liquid nitrogen transportation in real time, ensuring seamless coordination across all operational processes. On September 16, after completing the hot-tapping and joint connection work, our team simultaneously initiated purging operations at both the Guiyang Compressor Station and Valve Station No. 48. After two hours of relentless effort, we successfully completed the pipeline nitrogen displacement, safely enabling the pipeline to be pressurized and ready for gas flow.
