March 12, 2019: Pre-cooling Project for the Loading Pipeline at the Second Phase of Xin'ao Zhoushan LNG Receiving Station

The Xinao Zhoushan LNG Receiving Station project is located within the China (Zhejiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone. It marks the first large-scale liquefied natural gas (LNG) receiving station approved by the National Energy Administration and invested in, constructed, and managed entirely by a private enterprise. Since the official operation of Phase I of the Xinao Zhoushan LNG Receiving Station, the project has further strengthened Zhejiang’s Free Trade Zone’s comprehensive oil-and-gas industry chain. Not only does it provide high-quality natural gas to residents and businesses in Zhoushan City, but it also serves as a critical gas supply source for Zhejiang Province’s ambitious "Gas Connectivity Across All Counties" initiative and plays a vital role in ensuring emergency gas supplies across the region.
The pre-cooling construction for the second-phase loading pipeline officially began on March 12, 2019. By 7:00 a.m. on March 14, temperature tests confirmed that both ends of the second-phase loading pipeline had reached -120°C, marking the safe and successful completion of this pre-cooling phase. Following this, the owner will proceed with filling the loading pipeline with LNG, officially bringing the pipeline into operation.
