October 29, 2024: Helium-Nitrogen Pressure Test and Leak Detection Joint Operation Project at the Dukou River Purification Plant
On October 29, as the Duokouhe Purification Plant successfully began operations, our company smoothly completed the integrated construction work—combining helium-nitrogen pressure testing with leak detection—at the plant, marking the successful completion of the purification project for the Duokouhe-Qili North gas field's Feixianquan Formation gas reservoir development and production capacity expansion project in the Sichuan Basin. The Duokouhe-Qili North high-sulfur gas field represents another significant milestone in boosting natural gas reserves and production, following the Tieshanpo gas field. As a critical component of this project, the Duokouhe Purification Plant plays a vital role in enhancing both gas storage and output, thereby strengthening the region's ability to ensure a stable supply of natural gas in the Sichuan Basin. Notably, nitrogen displacement and helium-nitrogen pressure testing with leak detection are key milestones in this project.
This project differs from the company’s previous similar projects in two key ways: First, from October 18 to 19, the team successfully completed the helium-nitrogen pressure test and leak detection for the purification plant’s high-pressure unit after 20 hours of continuous work—surpassing the original schedule by 52 hours and fully delivering on the task entrusted to the company by the client. Second, on the 20th, the helium-nitrogen leak tests were finished at the gas collection terminal station of the purification plant, followed by completion of the same tests between the terminal station and the raw gas separator unit on the 29th.
Meanwhile, the team also shifted operations to other sites, including Well Du 2, Qili Bei 1 & 2, Huanglong 009H1, and H2, where they carried out critical tasks such as nitrogen pigging, station air-tightness testing, gas displacement, and wellhead equalization (including a 33 MPa nitrogen-air tightness test).
Over the course of more than 10 days, the entire team traversed the entire Duokou River–Qili Bei high-sulfur gas field, demonstrating exceptional dedication and expertise throughout the project.
