Defect Weld Replacement and Pipe Repair Project with Nitrogen Purging at K180+765m on the China-Myanmar Pipeline, April 18, 2023

On April 18, 2023, our company promptly responded to the deployment by the Southwest Pipeline Company of the National Pipeline Network, taking on the critical task of providing nitrogen support for the crucial pipe replacement and repair at the defective weld joint located at K180+765m along the China-Myanmar pipeline (Longling County, Baoshan City, Yunnan Province). Facing the highly challenging operation of replacing 31.12 kilometers of D1016 pipeline, our team completed the advance preparation—deploying pump trucks, tank trucks, and assembling a top-notch crew—to the No. 7 valve station three days ahead of schedule (April 16, 19:00). The company’s Safety Director and technical leaders personally oversaw the operation from the front lines. From 21:13 on April 18 to 00:15 on April 19, we efficiently executed the first pipeline replacement; then, on April 21 from 09:05 to 11:36, we precisely carried out the second replacement phase. Throughout the entire process, we rigorously adhered to the hot-work safety plan, delivering exceptional performance marked by "zero delays and zero incidents," earning high praise from the National Pipeline Network and solidifying our role as a vital safeguard for the China-Myanmar energy artery.
