Comprehensive Remediation and Pipe Replacement Project for Defective Welds at Two Locations on the China-Myanmar Pipeline: K061+850m and K202+302m

In October 2023, our company was entrusted with the critical task of providing nitrogen support for the simultaneous pipe replacement and repair of two high-risk defect welds along the China-Myanmar pipeline—specifically at K061+850m (28.12 km section) and K202+302m (26.84 km section)—undertaken by the Southwest Pipeline Company of the National Pipeline Network. Facing the client’s stringent deadline of achieving “qualified gas replacement within 3 hours” and the complex operational conditions involving synchronized work at two valve chambers, our company’s leadership personally led the effort on-site, innovatively deploying “dual-channel precision pressure control technology” and a “liquid nitrogen dynamic replenishment system.” At 4:00 a.m. on October 17, Valve Chamber #4 and Valve Chamber #9 simultaneously initiated the gas replacement process.
K202 section completed in just 2 hours (qualified at 6:00, 1 hour ahead of schedule)
The 2.5-hour operation on Section K061 (qualified at 6:30, finishing 30 minutes ahead of schedule) set a new record for pipeline replacement time on the large-diameter Φ1016mm pipeline. Using "Host speed," the team successfully eliminated two major pipeline hazards, ensuring the safe operation of the China-Myanmar energy artery.
