July 29, 2025: Sinopec Zhoushan LNG Receiving Station Phase III Pre-Cooling Project

On July 15, 2025, following the urgent task assigned by Sinopec (Zhoushan) LNG, our company swiftly assembled a top-tier team within just 10 hours. By July 18, personnel had arrived in Zhoushan, and by July 20, all equipment was fully in place, enabling efficient installation and commissioning within a remarkable 48-hour window. Facing three unprecedented challenges simultaneously: Zhoushan was experiencing a severe shortage of liquid nitrogen supplies, necessitating an urgent transport from Ningbo; cross-sea bridges imposed strict restrictions on vehicles carrying hazardous chemicals, leaving ferry services as the only viable alternative; and the operational window coincided with the imminent arrival of Typhoon "Zhujiecao." To overcome these obstacles, we decisively arranged for chartered vessel transport to ensure a continuous supply of liquid nitrogen. By 6:06 AM on July 25, upon receiving the owner’s command, our team meticulously controlled the temperature with precision—maintaining accuracy within ±0.5°C—as they steadily cooled the system at a rate of 8–10°C per hour. Remarkably, the pre-cooling of the unloading main pipe to -120°C was completed 10 hours ahead of schedule, taking just 20 hours in total. Then, on July 28 at 2:08 PM, the team once again tackled the low-pressure external transfer main pipe, accelerating the process by an additional 9 hours to meet the deadline. Throughout the entire operation—spanning 41 hours and consuming 500 tons of liquid nitrogen—the project was wrapped up 19 hours ahead of schedule. This exceptional performance not only secured a critical operational window for the nation’s flagship LNG terminal but also earned high praise from the client, who hailed our team as "a shining example of industry-leading expertise and unwavering determination in overcoming even the most daunting challenges."
